"I am Fond of Bossa Nova and Brazilian Music. I began to sing pop music when I was young , then in the 80's the love for Brasil and its music completely absorbed me. I studied Brazilian guitar with Giovanna Marinuzzi and Gianluca Persichetti and Voice with Luisa Bruno and Themis Rocha, then started to perform in quartet, with a repertory of basically Bossa Nova. In the year 2003 I discovered the magic world of Brazilian percussions and became part of the group Batuque Percussion directed by the well-known Italian percussionist Stefano Rossini, performing live in Villa Celimontana (Rome) and all over Italy. Among other collaborations as a singer: Vincenzo Palermo, Massimo Aureli, Cliff Korman (Villa Celimontana Summer 2005), Toninho Horta. From 2003 to 2006 I was part of the vocal group "Conjunto Bossagora" performing live in various jazz clubs and recording the cd "Vida" in 2007.
In 2006 I moved in Paris for two years, a town which is extraordinary for the musical point of view and where I had the chance to know big brazilian, French and Italian musicians. In Paris I continued to study music.... percussions with the great and eclectic Mangueirense Boca Rum "cheio de energias" and cavaco with Fernando do Cavaco from Orquestra do Fuba'. It's in Paris that I met Giovanni Ceccarelli and Fabrizio Cecca, with whom started the project to play samba jazz between Paris and Rome." ~Nadia
