For many, Anna-Lotta Larsson "Anna" in "Värmlänningarna". The role was also her breakthrough on the big TV audience in 1980, although her ??TV debut actually occurred in 1973 when she was at age 19 performed two songs in Siewert Öholms program "Blue Road". Anna-Lotta has continued to play the role of "Anna" almost every summer when "Värmlänningarna" is set up in Ransäter, which contributed to the strong link to the character.  Anna-Lotta has its roots both in the Värmland and northern soil. She was born in Karlstad, but soon moved with his family to Norrbotten. The move went first to Luleå and at 7 years of age on to Öjebyn, 6 km north of Piteå.

She grew up in a musical home. Mom was singing teacher and father violin teacher at Framnäs Music School. Her musical focus was initially classical. Anna-Lotta's interest for music awoke, for obvious reasons, early. Like many other children, she took piano lessons, but at age 19 she decided to devote himself to music. She trained as a voice teacher at Framnäs Music School and then came in at the Opera Academy in Gothenburg. That meant three years of intense musical and theatrical training, but the move to Gothenburg would also mean the origin of the breakthrough. Opera Academy was near the TV building and Anna-Lotta was invited to sing at Lennart Hyland in "Go'morron Sweden".

It was now the bids started to fall into. The role of "Anna" in the TV production of "Värmlänningarna" she got last year at the Opera Academy. Shortly thereafter came the offer of a big role, as the penguin, in the musical "Animalen" at the Malmö City Theatre (1980-82).
