In this show, Joan Chamorro serves up a tribute to the voice, to four great divas of jazz; Dinah Washington, Sara Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday. This is a homage, from the voices of Eva Fernández, Andrea Motis, Magalí Datzira and Rita Payés, all of whom have risen up from the fertile soils of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band.
With arrangements especially for the occasion, the show revolves around the characteristic repertoire of these jazz greats and serves as a platform for enjoying together on one stage the voices of these four young jazzwomen, three of whom has their own CD among the collection Joan Chamorro presenta.
Accompanied by the de-luxe trio of Ignasi Terraza (piano), Josep Traver (guitar) and Esteve Pi (drums), Eva Fernández, Andrea Motis, Magalí Datzira and Rita Payés thrill us all with a musical journey through past and present, with an updated, personal and unique style.
