After creating a huge number of bossa nova albums featuring music from other world music genres, Japanese singer Lisa Ono returned to her musical roots with an album dedicated specifically to Brazilian bossa nova master Antonio Carlos Jobim. To celebrate (posthumously) the composer's 80th birthday, Ono recorded a wide collection of Jobim's greatest pieces. "The Girl from Ipanema," "One Note Samba," and "Agua de Beber" are all present, though "Corcovado" is surprisingly absent, despite it being a favorite performance for Ono.
