Tom Harrell is one of America's renowned jazz trumpeters and composers of our day. He played with such bands and artists as Stan Kenton, Woody Herman, Horace Silver, Sam Jones, Lee Konitz, Phil Woods etc. He was the arrangner for "Time Mirror" on RCA. Much has been said aout Mr. Tom Harrell. He has also recorded with Bill Evans, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton and has played in every major jazz club and jazz festival. What this cd offers is that it was his first solo album and has not been available for several years. For any fan or collector of Tom Harrell recordings, this recording is a find.
