I dont think these were recorded in the 90s. Old Folks Boogie is from 1957. I dont know the dates for the other tunes. Good music!
ReplyDeletehey marc, youre right. considering that guys like joe liggins and louis jordan died before the 90s, they couldnt possibly have recorded these tunes in that decade. i think what the author meant was that johnny otis RE-RECORDED those tunes in the 90s and the credits attributed to those guys were as composers and not as players. in any case, ive removed that blurb from the post. thanks for alerting me to that.
