Marian McPartland, a spirited jazz pianist and self-effacing radio personality whose marriage to cornetist Jimmy McPartland in 1946 enabled her to move to the U.S. and work and record here steadily starting in 1948.
When I interviewed Marian in 2009, I asked her how she first became interested in jazz while growing up in England. "I heard it every day on the radio in the 1930s," she said. "My younger sister was friends with this guy who tried to interest her in jazz. But she wasn’t very interested so he switched from her to me [laughs] because I was fascinated with the music. There was no romance, just someone to play records with. When I started to play jazz on the piano, my parents would simply say, 'Very nice, dear.' So I decided to follow my heart and become a professional musician. Now when audiences applaud, I suppose they're also saying, 'Very nice, dear.' ” ~Marc Myers

ReplyDeleteThat's a screen from solidfiles - I always use zippy first on all posts from silky, it was refused, so I tried solid, and that was the result. Those are the only 2 I tried.
To download from Solidfiles, don't click on the green download button. Click on "direct download link" that is in small letters.
ReplyDeleteTo Download from Hugefiles, don't click on the big download button on top. Roll down, fill the captcha and click on Free Download button. On next window click on "create download link" button in the end of the page.
To download from Sendmyway, don't click on the red button "Download Now". Click on "Free User", wait for the countdown finish and fill the captcha. Click on "Submit Query". On the next screen, untick the "Download acelerator" and hit download buttom.
I didn't find any problem in downloading from other hosts but most of them want you to click on wrong buttons. They are paid by the advertisers so they are full of adware or malware.
If available, use Zippyshare or Ziddu. As long as I know they don't have any adware or malware. Some of you can have a warning once in awhile but it's a false alarm.
Uploaded and Turbobit are good if you have a premium account there. As a free user your download will be slow but they also don't have adware or malware there. At least I never saw it.
At last, I will advice you to install AdBlock Plus or some similar add-on in your browsers. It's free and very useful for you get rid of the adware that will open in some sites.
I hope I could be helpful :)
Very helpful, many thanks for everything!
