Tenor saxophonist Willie Williams comes on strong, but no wonder, since the liner notes of this, his second recording in more than half a decade, proclaim 1992 the year he'll receive his due. He's got a good, straightforward sound. It doesn't break any barriers, but the music seems to come from something true within. He travels in good company, too.
