Considered one of the architects of the big band sound, trumpeter Bunny Berigan played an important part in the Goodman, Dorsey, Whiteman and Miller big bands (some of Berigan's trumpet solos were so popular that Tommy Dorsey had the solos written and orchestrated for the entire brass section).     What a gem! (Can't believe I have not heard of this orchestra) Would be interesting to know when these tracks were recorded. As always with the great big bands of yesteryear (e.g. Glenn Miller) the quality is lacking, if only this had been recorded in a modern studio. That said it's not a bad recording, I have really enjoyed it despite it's age. Thank you Giullia. Best, Dave (DJ38).
