Nice to add some Jazz to the mix. Sarah Partridge is an American Jazz vocalist and songwriter of enough distinction that I'm aware of her, but apparently not enough to get a Wikipedia page. She started out as an actress (she's in Risky Business), but an evening of karaoke got her noticed by someone in the business and the next thing you know, she's a recording artist. She might be best known for "Bright Lights & Promises", an album of Jazz interpretations of the songs of Janis Ian.
