PRONOUNCEMENT

Dear Friends and Silky Denims visitors

This is to inform you of the reason why we have decided to lock the cbox and moderate the comments on the posts, temporarily (or not).

We have been visited by a person who has no manners/class. A person who believes he/she has the right to come to the blog to offend - unfairly - those who have worked for more than 15 years to promote the good music.

Whoever it is, man or woman, is not welcome! Go and spend your time doing something worthy and not trying to tarnish/obscure/denigrate the reputation of those who work hard.

To our friends we ask that you please use this post as a place to make your requests, knowing, however, that your comments will be moderated by our team until all this is over.

If this situation persists, we will be forced to close the blog to a small number of guests/our elite of visitors.

Our sincere apologies for what happened and we hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Cheers!

  1. It seems these aggressive people who want to ruin things for others turn up from time to time in more or less all types of online forums. I guess the explanation is that it is easy to be anonymous online, and this possibility attracts the kind of cowards who want to cause problems for others without taking responsibility for their actions.

Anyway, I thank you for a great music blog, and I hope you can continue spreading good music without any more problems.

  5. I am sincerely sorry that your magnificent work has been so poorly compensated. However, I am sure that all the attestations of esteem and thanks that you are receiving (and will receive) will sweeten the bitterness caused by this ... worm. Unfortunately "the mother of fools and imbeciles" is always pregnant. I renew my sincere thanks for everything you do and I send you a big hug from Italy. PINO
P.S. Don't forget me if you have to close the Blog (but I hope that never has to happen).

  12. I don't ever look at the C-Box, so I've missed out on this recent disturbance, I wish I had seen some of the troll's comments as I'd like to take a close look at the grammar and punctuation to determine if it was the same troll who had a go at me some months ago. Anyway you have taken the right approach here, I hope this all blows over.

  13. I thought that this was a private blog (which means that all the members here are known to Giullia and no one can be anonymous here). I am astounded that one of us could be guilty of such crass behaviour. My sympathies to Giullia and her splendid team and I hope that your decision will resolve the problem. Best wishes.

  25. As an 85 year old jazz fan and volunteer community broadcaster I have long been able to find valuable music on your blog. It means I can then give exposure on the airwaves to so many musicians. There is no way I could buy the albums but at least I can give the artists playing time and help their careers along. Many musicians have told me how important this is for them. So, keep up the great work. Remember it is both the listeners and the musicians who gain. A few people do not understand this and become abusive and destructive. Thank you.

Dear Jeep Jockey, for 13 years (only on Blogger) and some others in other social networking sites, we have formed a group of friends dedicated to this work and you have only come to corroborate what we think (and do - for pleasure). The pleasure of imagining that we are in our living rooms, having a nice time with friends, listening to new releases and masterpieces from the old days. There is nothing better, for us, than knowing that you are one of these friends who has been visiting our "home" for so many years and always with a word of support and consideration. Thank you very much for existing in our lives.

    1. Dear Tony, fortunately we had already been noticing a "voice of dissatisfaction" in the box and from there to a ruder comment was a short step. We do not accept moral violence/psychological abuse in our environment. Nothing that could tarnish the friendly relationships we have maintained over all these years. It's great to count on your support and know that you are there for us. Thank you!
