He moved to Rome as a child, he obtained a diploma in piano at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia , making his debut in 1975 in the jazz music with Enzo Pietropaoli and Roberto Gatto , forming the Trio di Roma .Simultaneously to jazz develops particular interest in music progressive and participates in the formation of the group New Perigee , of which he is the leader and founder bassist Giovanni Tommaso .
